DETOX WATER & its Benefits

As we know, people have little time to eat properly, as we are constantly in a rush for our workplace meetings and other engagements. We need some good, nourishing food and hydrating drink that keep us safe and energetic. So, here's one drink we recommend to keep ourselves hydrated, that is, clean water. One doesn't have to drink water frequently and yet it keeps us hydrated throughout the day and replenishes the required fluid content in our body. There's a lot of speculation about the supposed health benefits of 'detox water'. Staying hydrated and drinking plenty of water is good for health. Therefore, eight glasses of water a day is always recommended. Many people, however, believe that adding extra ingredients to water would improve its health benefits. Detox water has been claimed to help remove toxins from the body, help with weight loss, balance the pH level, and boost the immune system. Let us understand what Detox Water is and break the misconceptions and understand the actual health benefits.
What Is Detox Water?
Detox water is water that is flavored with fresh fruit, vegetable, or herbal flavors. This is also called fruit-infused water, water enriched with berries or water flavored with berries or other fruits or herbs. Detox water can be made at home in several ways using any combination of fruits, vegetables, and herbs that one wants. Detox water contains very little calories because it is created by infusing flavor rather than juicing or mixing. This makes it a common drink for detox regimens such as 'lemon detox' or 'master cleanse'. In weight loss plans, detox water is also often recommended, particularly in place of high-sugar beverages such as sugary soda and fruit juice or even diet soda.
How to Make Detox Water?
It is really easy to make detox water at home. All that you need is water, and a variety of fruits, herbs, and vegetables of your choice. Simply pick up and add ingredients to hot or cold water, depending on your preferences. The more you use an ingredient, the stronger the flavor is. When you are making cold drinks, you should leave the detox water in the refrigerator for 1–2 hours to allow the flavors to get infused deeper into it. Be sure to remove the ingredients from the water after this time period, so that they don't start decomposing. If you are in a hurry, you can help release the flavors faster by crushing or scraping your fruits and herbs before adding to the water Let us now look at two of my favorite recipes for detox water:

Benefits of Detox water

1. Helps with Weight Loss: Drinking water can help you lose weight, and this also applies to detox water. Water has been shown to increase the metabolic rate temporarily, so you'll eat more calories.
Indeed, people who drink the prescribed amount of water as part of a weight-loss plan appear to lose more weight than those who don't. One research found that overweight adults who drank 1 or (half a liter) of water before their meals lost 40 percent more weight than those who didn't.

2. Improves Digestive Health: Hydration is necessary to maintain digestive health and regular bowel movements. Chronic dehydration may trigger constipation, which can make you feel bloated and slow. Consuming plenty of water will help the food flow through the intestines easily and keep you from being constipated.

3. Improves Mood and Energy Levels: Mood, concentration, and energy levels may be affected even by mild dehydration.
Studies have shown that dehydration rates of around 1 percent can significantly decrease mood, decrease attention span, and causes a headache. If you aren't drinking enough, raising your water intake might boost your mood and give you more strength.

4. Boosts Immune Function: This is one assumption about detox water which may be somewhat exaggerated. It is true that consuming fruits and vegetables and even fruit juices will help improve our immune system. In fact, when eaten on a daily basis, Vitamin C has been shown to benefit our immune systems largely. The amount of these nutrients that one would get from an infusion like detox water, however, is likely to be limited and highly variable.
